BACCS – BASIS Advanced Contractor Certification Scheme
BASIS is an independent organisation set up at the suggestion of the UK Government in 1978 to establish and assess standards in the pesticide industry relating to storage, transport and competence of staff. The BACCS is an independent scheme, recognised and backed by The Environment Agency, the Chemical Regulate Directorate (CRD) and the HSE, for contractors providing professional pesticide services and advice in the Amenity and Industrial sector. Having a BASIS Registered store and BASIS Nominated Storekeeper is considered “Best Practice” when storing any amount of pesticide.

BASIS Amenity Assured Contractor
The Amenity Assured Standard aims to ensure the highest standards of practice in the chemical control of weeds, pests and diseases in the amenity sector. Contractors must demonstrate that they operate according to industry best practice, through annual independent audits on our Management Systems (including a self-assessment) and also by auditing our operatives working on site. The Amenity Assured Standard is seen by the industry as a guarantee of “excellence”. As a contractor you must score above 80% in your Self-Assessment, be fully compliant with the Store audit and also score above 80% in an independent on site audit.

UVDB – Utilities Vendor Database Verify Scheme
In order to trade with the Utility Industry, were are required to be assessed annually by Achilles for our Health, Safety Environment and Quality capabilities. This encompasses an audit on both our Management Systems and also an on site assessment, following which we are scored. It is a testament to quality of our service that our scores are amongst the highest in our industry.

ISO 9001:2008 – Quality Management
We operate a Quality Management System accredited to ISO 9001:2008 (certificate number 2251), which is assessed annually by IMS. Our management system helps demonstrate our commitment to Quality, Consistency, Customer Satisfaction and Continual Improvement.

ISO 14001:2004 – Environmental Management
The most recognized international standard for Environmental Managements Systems (EMS). Our EMS (certificate number 2251E) is assessed annually by IMS and provides the framework through which we deliver Environmental Performance Improvements in line with our Environmental Policy Commitments.
