It is with great pleasure to announce that Nathan Hume, our Contracts Manager has won the overall Amenity Sprayer Operator of the Year (ASOY).
Nathan won his category of Landscape & Industrial applications using hand held equipment and was shortlisted against two other category winners (Sports Turf and Landscape & Amenity Mounted Sprayer operations), but came out as the overall winner. The Awards, run by the Amenity Forum and sponsored by ICL , Syngenta and BASIS, presented by Dr Ruth Mann of STRI and Naga Munchetty of BBC Breakfast News at the BIGGA Turf Management Exhibition (BTME) in Harrogate.
Nathan commented, “It was an honour to receive the Award. Myself and the company have always followed best practice so it’s a nice justification that we are doing things right”.
Nathan faced tough industry competition from a record entry into the third annual ASOY Awards. Nathan undertook a number of question paper rounds and finally an onsite audit by an industry independant professional. The independent judging panel commented “Nathan has shown outstanding skills and worked to very high standards to achieve the best possible results. He has proved a worthy winner by showing that best practice can deliver efficient, cost effective and, above all, safe amenity spraying.”
A fantastic price awaits Nathan, with a trip to the GIE Expo in Louisville, Kentucky USA in October this year.
